Begin your day with a relaxing and fascinating trip down one of the world's most famous waterways. From Pakse, take a traditional boat down the Mekong River towards the former royal capital of Champasak. On arrival, transfer to the pre-Angkorian Wat Phu Temple. Wat Phu, a World Heritage Site, means ‘mountain temple’. The temples in this complex are dated between the 6th and 13th centuries! Located on a hillside, Wat Phu Temple will provide you with spectacular views over the surrounding plains, rice paddies and the Mekong River.
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, cross the Mekong River and continue by car to the quaint village of Ban Khiet Ngong. Next, take a stroll through the forest to reach your final destination - the enigmatic Phu Asa temple. Your tour will conclude by road transfer back to Pakse.
