The countryside around Tonle Bati Lake is a lively area attracting people to fish, relax, and explore the ancient temples in its vicinity. We’ll start this tour by heading from Phnom Penh to the Tonle Bati Lake. From here, we’ll visit the temple of Ta Prohm, built by King Jayavarman VII on the site of a 6th century Khmer shrine. You’ll see the main sanctuary which consists of five chambers, each with a lingam inside, and marvel at the tree that grows on and around the temple structure. We’ll then visit a temple surrounded by legend, Yeay Peau temple, named after King Ta Prohm’s mother, before heading to a silk weaving village where you’ll learn about silk and witness how it’s woven. Finally, we’ll head to Prasat Neang Khmao, the temple of the Black Virgin, before returning to Phnom Penh.

Depart from Phnom Penh to the Tonle Bati lake. Visit the laterite temple of Ta Prohm built by King Jayavarman VII (ruled 1181 to 1201), on the site of a 6th century Khmer shrine. The main sanctuary consists of five chambers with in each is a lingam. Then, visit Yeay Peau temple, named after King Ta Prohm's mother, located 150m north of Ta Prohm.
Visit a silk weaving village before proceeding to Prasat Neang Khmao. Visit Prasat Neang Khmao, the temple of the Black Virgin (10th century). Return to Phnom Penh.
