tour description

Start running from Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built in Bagan, with old impressive murals. Your guide will run with you at a very comfortable pace while letting you enjoy the nature and beautiful temples complex of Bagan UNESCO archaeological zone. Passing the Alodawpyae and Buleithee pagodas, you will feel how people in the past made effort to build pagodas and temples to conserve their culture and religion. Either passing along the main road or the rural West Pwa Saw village, you might want to make a stop at Pyathatgyi Temple with the unique techniques of construction, which is also said to be the very last great construction of the dynasty of Bagan. From there, turn right to arrive at Dhammayazika and Dhammanyangyi. The massive body of Dhammayangyi is famous for its fine brickwork, constructed without any mortar. Continue running to Shwesandaw and turn left to Wuttanata pagoda complex. This tour will eventually end at Tharabar Gate where you can still see the only structure left of the old city built by King Pyinbya in A.D 849. After that, return back to your hotel.
