You’ll commence your Mekong River tour with a car transfer to Cai Be, a 2.5-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City. As you pull into Cai Be, you’ll immediately feel the vibrancy emanating from the ships that transport goods and people to the nearby markets. Next, you’ll be treated to a wonderful boat trip through the fascinating Cai Be floating markets. From here you’ll transfer to the Mekong Lodge where a delicious lunch will be served at their riverside restaurant. After lunch, you’ll begin your cycle tour to Tan Phong Island. Here you’ll visit fruit gardens and local houses to observe the daily activities of the villagers living along the Mekong. As you continue, you’ll taste some seasonal fruits from the Mekong Delta and enjoy a cup of local green tea before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
