At 9:00 hours you will be picked up for a cycling tour around the outstanding architecture, and spiritual culture, of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang. Begin with a visit to Wat Xieng Thong, considered the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang. The sim of the Wat represents the classic Luang Prabang temple architecture with roofs that sweep low to the ground. After a cycle through town, delivers you to Wat Visoun, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang and the site of the impressive Singhalese style That Makmo stupa. Nearby is Wat Aham, which is one of the city's major tutelary shrines, dedicated to Deveta Luang (spirit) Pu Gneu Ya Gneu (ancestors).

A short ride takes us to the former Royal Palace, now a National Museum, where there are ornate gilded and brocaded reception rooms, Buddha's and other spectacular artefacts including the Pra Bang (a large holy image) which was given in the 14th century to King Fa Ngum by the Khmers.

Lunch today is at Khaiphen Restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Lao food from the menu or something from the monthly specials board.

After lunch, there are two options available:

Option 1 – Next, ride out of town over the Old Bridge to the far side of the Nam Khan River and visit the fascinating neighbourhood of Ban Phanluang. Here, cycle slowly around the local community and feel the gentle ambience and notice the different architectural style on this side of the river. Stop at a famous German butchers discover some other hidden gems. Finish the loop back over the Old Bridge into the centre of Luang Prabang

Option 2 – Next, cross over the Mekong by a short ferry crossing and cycle to the pottery village of Ban Chan.
