Unique communities and traditional villages dot the rural countryside near Siem Reap and promise an escape to another world. We’ll drive to the fishing village of Kompong Pluk, translated to Harbor of the Tusks, where we’ll board a private boat. We’ll ride through the community with its houses standing on stilts and board a pirogue to discover the seasonally flooded forest or the village houses standing high and dry on gigantic stilts during dry season. The spectacular views make the village a remarkable place to experience no matter what time of year you visit. You’ll then enjoy the natural splendor of the country as you cruise across the Tonle Sap Lake to the floating village of Chlong Kneas. Here, you’ll discover the centuries-old lifestyle of the inhabitants of the lake.
