Drive with guide from guests hotel in Pakse to Ban Saphay (about 15 kilometres) and then take a small boat (2 Pax per boat) about 5 - 7 minutes to Done Koh (Weaving Island).
Silk Island is home to a silk weaving village and silk centre, where you can see how the whole silk production process works from beginning to end. Observe the mulberry-chomping silk worms and golden cocoons right through to the complex manual loom weaving process. Loom weaving requires a dexterity and memory that would be the envy of many!
