The entire walk would be a half day affair where you’ll cover the entire perimeter of the fort. In the process, your host Shanjei will narrate to you stories about the UNESCO World Heritage site that will reveal to you the history and culture that exists within the Fort walls. These stories will decipher the influences and cultural exchange that took place during the colonial era. Comedy is the main aspect of these conversations you would have with him, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself laughing more than listening. The first leg of the walk will end with an RnR session with a cup of Tea.

This is a quick walk around the Galle Fort which starts at the Moon Bastion and ends at the Star Bastion, and at each stop you will get a taste of history of the Fort, the many aspects of modern Lankan culture which has clear Colonial connections and a roundup of the 130-acre Citadel. For all those who wish to spare some extra time could consider the extended exclusive tour which covers colonial History, its effect on our locals, the comedy that surrounds colonization, a trip into the museum of the biggest antique collector in the fort, a brief brush with craft and trade and all this ends with the perfect cup of Sri Lankan Tea presented by Fort’s most ardent tea maker.
