Get ready to discover the ancient city of Hoi An by night! After a short orientation walk through Hoi An’s town centre, you’ll have dinner at a local restaurant before exploring charming Hoi An on your own. If you’re lucky enough to visit the ancient town during a full moon (the 15th day of the Lunar calendar), the streets are transformed into romantic pedestrian lanes. The regular electric streetlights give way to colourful lanterns – traditional symbols of Hoi An. You’ll have the chance to enjoy poem readings on the main streets, the Bai Choi traditional opera, and other cultural activities that take place in public spaces throughout the ancient town. You’ll also enjoy an evening stroll along the Hoai River and observe the myriad of floating flower lanterns set afloat by pilgrims.
