tour description

To date Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) has nearly 600 students in the arts in 9 different provinces studying a variety of traditional forms of Cambodian dance, music and theatre. In 2010 they realized that their students were in need of jobs in the arts sector - however few existed. CLA with the help of its friends and donors built a stage from the ground up at the National Museum, creating the production Plae Pakaa. The top-ranked cultural performance in an open-air theatre showcases traditional Cambodian dance and opera. All performances are accompanied with live music. Through Plae Pakaa, CLA employs over 100 arts professionals including dancers, singers, musicians, and production technicians.
