Discover the Stupas in the old capitol Udong

Udong, Cambodia’s former capital, is rich in history and boasts stunning views of charming countryside, rolling hills and temple backdrops. We’ll start our exploration of this old town by first visiting the colorful Vipassana Dhura Buddhist Meditation Center where you’ll hear about the school of Vipassana, or Insight, Meditation. After that, we’ll walk up the steps that lead to the various temples of the area and head to the famous three large stupas where the ashes of three former kings are preserved. Here, you’ll be rewarded by wonderful views of the plains below. We’ll then enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to the silversmith village of Kompong Luong. Once the royal port for Udong, the village has been home to generations of silversmiths perfecting their art.
