Cycling on a quiet dyke road, you experience the daily life of the locals, who live along the banks, in close up. You will journey through flower and vegetable gardens, cycle village lanes, passing fruit orchards and meeting and greeting the local people. You will end the day with a new take on what Hanoi city living means. The ride is approximately 40km on a mix of good quality flat tarmac and dirt roads. There will be plenty of photo opportunities among the wonderful scenery and village experiences.
The cycle takes us to Bat Trang a traditional pottery village. The village is home to the artisans who form, paint and glaze their products. They bake the ceramics for several days in huge kilns. Immerse yourself in the daily life of the village. Next up, cross the Red River by a local ferry to Thanh Tri village for lunch, including some tempting local delicacies. The village is famous for rolled rice pancakes. After lunch, continue cycling along the dyke road back to the meeting point. Leave the bike and transfer back to your hotel, taking your memories from the day with you
