Your destination for the day is the geographically fascinating area of Thailand known as the Golden Triangle. It is at this junction that Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet and the mighty Ruak and Mekong rivers converge. To commence your tour, your guide will collect you from your hotel for the scenic drive to the northern city of Chiang Rai. Experience all the highlights of Chiang Rai in one day, including the magnificent Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), Mae Sai border town with Myanmar, the northern-most point of Thailand and visit The Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. It is here you’ll relax for lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the Golden Triangle. We’ll then commence our drive back to Chiang Mai where we’ll deliver you safely to your hotel.
