Half day easy cycling around Bagan and its temples. On this trip, you’ll cycle through some of the finest scenery in all of Bagan. Cycling is a really fun way to explore the delights of Bagan without being intrusive and to absorb its charm and serenity. Cycling across this stunning pagoda filled plain scattered with acacia and toddy palm trees, bullock carts, zebu cattle, goat herds and villages, you have the chance to stop at some lesser visited temples as well. You can stop at as many or as few pagodas as you wish and the opportunities for taking amazing photographs is unlimited.

Transfer to the tour starting point near Ananda Temple. Begin your cycle ride on a sandy track near Ananda Temple ('bd km). Your first stop is at Dhammayangyi ('bc km), a massive temple dating from 1170 which is visible for kilometres around. This imposing structure is famous for its interlocking no mortar brickwork. Continue to cross country to Dhammayazaka (2 km) where you may choose to ascend the temple for a panoramic view. Re-join a paved road, turn left and if you wish, pause for refreshment at a restaurant ('bd km). Stop at Phwa Saw, a quintessentially Myanmar village of rattan houses, busy with bullock carts, zebu cattle and local craft industries. Proceed to Minnanthu monastic complex and village ('bd km). Here your ride offers uninterrupted views (no pylons) of Bagan's awesome monuments, acacia, toddy palm trees and wandering goats. Arrive at Sulamani (2 km) one of Bagan's most attractively constructed temples famous for its ornamental work and interior frescoes. This tour ends at a spot near Ananda Temple.
