Discover the vibrant kingdom of Bhutan in this expansive, feature-packed tour. Starting with a visit to the highly regarded Ta Dzong Museum in Paro, filled with antique Thanka paintings, textiles, weapons and armour. In Thimphu, you’ll visit the Bhutan Post with its world famous stamps before moving on to revel in the culture of the National Folk History Museum.You’ll gasp at the stunning scenery as we take you along the Dochula pass to see more important cultural and historical sites where culture and beauty provide a heady mix as we take you to the Tachogang Temple and the Tango Monastery to name but a few. After visiting the Gangtey Conservation Grounds, we head back to Paro where you will take a leisurely hike to see the Taktsang Monastery before you depart.

You will be received by the representative of Diethelm Travel Bhutan who will be your guide throughout your stay and escorted to the hotel. Visit the Ta Dzong rated as one of the finest Natural Museum in South Asia, and is filled with antique thanka paintings, textiles, weapons and Armour. Visit Dungtse Lhakhang, that lies just out of town, across the river.
Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. On route visit Tachogang Temple. In Thimphu visit the Memorial Chorten, built in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Visit the Takin Preserve and BBs Tower. Evening visit Tashichhodzong.
Drive and hike to Tango Monastery. Visit Bhutan Post, know for its world famous stamps. Visit the National Library, a treasure trove of priceless Bhuddist manuscripts. National Folk Heritage Museum, to get an insight into the typical Bhutanese way of life and Institute for Zorig Chusum commonly known as the Painting School.
Drive to Punakha via the Dochula Pass(3140m). Visit the Druk Wangyel Chorten, built by the Queen Mother for peace and stability of the country. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, this temple is believed to bless couples unable to have children and many people around the world visit this holy site to seek its blessing. Visit the impressive Punakha Dzong, the second of Bhutan's Dzong.
Drive to Gangtey the winter home of the rare Black Necked Cranes(Grus Nicorocolis). Gangtey is declared a conservation ground and energy is run on Solar Power and lights go out by 10pm at night. In Gangtey, vist Lhewang Lhakhang.
Drive back to Paro driving through the idyllic countryside, dotted with villages and paddy fields, crossing rivers and natural forests to Paro. In the evening, visit a farmhouse and try our traditional drinks and snacks. Overnight in Paro.
In the morning, your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight onwards.
