On this exciting journey, you will explore fishing towns, pagodas, museums, and beaches in the Southern Myanmar. Get inspired by the lively atmosphere and the beautiful former trading town of Myeik in the 17th century. Take a chance to learn about ways of life in fishing villages and their fishing industries and as well as discover the religious side of the people in Myanmar.

Arrive into Dawei by airplane from Yangon. After check-in at your hotel, take a look around the town and capture the moments of Dawei's daily life and beautiful sceneries. Dawei, separated from the Andaman Sea by the narrow, beach-lined Dawei Peninsula, was formerly known as Tavoy is the capital of the Tanintharyi Division. It was one of the first towns colonized by the British in 1826. As a result, the town itself has a long lasting story and picturesque buildings from the colonial time. Have a little excursion in the traditional medicine of Southern Myanmar. Visit a family-owned cashew nuts business and learn how much work it is to peel a nut.
Today excursion is about getting in touch with the locals. Stop wherever you want for a while and interact with the passers-by. Take your chance to taste the regional cuisines on your way. After that, you will visit the Tanintharyi Regional Museum which is a collection of bronze coins, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images. Learn about the history of Moken (sea gypsy) which is shown with sculptures and stunning pictures. Finish your day with a stroll at Dawei river front where you can watch how the locals end the day.

After breakfast, drive from Dawei to Nabule Beach where you can relax and stretch your legs on a beautiful secluded area. Feel free to go for a swim or you can just sit down and rest under the shades. Take note that there will be no facilities at all on the beach. Enjoy your simple lunch with some seasonal fruits and light snacks. After that, return to Dawei and proceed to Maung Ma Gan Beach to catch the breath-taking sunset. Enjoy your fresh seafood dinner on the beach or go back to your hotel. Dinner is to your own account.

If you like an early set-off, skip your hotel breakfast and have some local dishes at the local market. Drive pass rice fields and rural villages until you arrive at a typical fishing village where you will discover a glimpse of fishing industry and the process of drying fish and making fish paste (seasonal). The paste for Western tongues is most likely nothing to be fancy with, but for Asian people it is mouth-watering. Stop every now and then to explain the local agriculture; for example, rubber and cashew nut plantations (seasonal). Proceed to Kyauk Wap Pyin Village, from where you take a 35 min strolling up the mountain to Dawei Peninsula's Golden Rock Pagoda. Enjoy a breath-taking 360 Degree panoramic view to on Dawei River and Grandfathers Beach. Lunch along the way in a traditional and clean restaurant. Upon arrival in a smaller village where kids will probably gather around you and greet with their sweet smiles. Continue your discovery journey by a motorbike to Grandfather beach where you can take some time swimming and relaxing on this beach.
In the afternoon, start driving back towards Dawei. On the way, stop at a brick factory and learn how the bricks are made (seasonal). Getting closer to the city, the more toddy palm tree you will see. If you feel like tasting the local liquor, feel free to enjoy a gulp occasionally. Dinner is to your own account.
Accommodation at Hotel Dawei (Superior Room) or similar, Dawei
Breakfast at your hotel. Until your flight departure, there is enough time to go for a stroll in the busy main market and do some souvenir shopping. Have a closer look at the traditional medicine, which has been still widely using. The clay pottery village is right in the heart of the town on Niban Road. Enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the town while observing the clay product workshops. Later, transfer to the airport and fly back to Yangon.

This tour will be new venture destinations and adventure tour. We will endeavor to obtain the best available accommodations, transport and facilities for the clients. We do request their understanding for any practical aspects which won't reach up to expectation and for delays or changes that may occur in the itinerary.
