Travel back in time and discover the history of Myanmar. Explore colonial Yangon, visit the British hill stations of Maymyo and Kalaw, and enjoy the chance to see Inle Lake.

Begin the tour in Yangon, which retains one of the most complete ensembles of colonial architecture in the world. On the second day, a walking tour of the city reveals the stories behind the heritage buildings of downtown Yangon and the legacy of the colonial era.

The following day, fly to Bagan and explore a selection of the most important pagodas and temples in this historic city, and enjoy a fantastic sunset in town. On day four, drive out of Bagan to explore the nearby sights at Popa and Salay. In Popa, stop at a Nat shrine to learn about Myanmar’s traditional spirit beings and local customs and beliefs.

Fly to Mandalay on the fifth day and enjoy sightseeing around town, which includes visits to several artisan workshops. On day six, make a full day visit to Maymyo (Pyin Oo Lwin), a former British hill station. Board a domestic flight from Mandalay to Heho on day seven. From Heho, drive over the rolling hills to Kalaw, another former British Hill Station.

After Kalaw, proceed to Taunggyi and Kakku pagodas complex and continue to Inle Lake on day eight. Spend days nine and ten exploring the scenic Inle Lake region. On day 11, travel by boat to Sagar (approximately 2.5 – 3 hours) and Thakong village, a rarely visited area in the south of Inle Lake. Fly back to Yangon on the twelfth day.
