World’s Longest Cable Car Route Opened in Kien Giang

The world’s longest sea cable car route began operations in An Thoi town, Phu Quoc island district, Mekong Delta Kien Giang province on 14 February.

Developed by Sun Group, the route runs for nearly 8 kilometres, anchored in An Thoi town and Hon Thom island, the largest island in the An Thoi island cluster to the south in the Phu Quoc island district.

The Hon Thom cable car system is the first and most significant feature of the Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park located in the southern area of Phu Quoc island. The system has 70 cars capable of carrying 30 passengers each and uses three-rope cable car technology, the most modern and safest in the world.
