08:30 hours. Meet at your hotel’s lobby and take a bicycle trip to Vong Nhi Pier, where you will take a boat to Cua Dai estuary. Tour activities include experiencing the daily fishing practice of the local fishermen, trying to cast the net with their assistant.
Moving deep into the water coconut forest in Cam Thanh Village with locally handmade bamboo basket boat, you will have a brief introduction to the history of this unique area during the past wars. Here, fishermen will show you how to catch the crabs and make origami with water coconut leaf. You will then have a chance to try paddling the unique local basket boat. If you come in a group, you can take part in a short basket boat racing.
Then you will pay a visit to a bamboo craftsman’s house to get an insight into the daily life of local craftsmen and see the different stages of preparing and making a proper bamboo house as well as many other bamboo utensils and souvenirs.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring back to your hotel.
