Tonle Sap Lake & Oxcart tour in the countryside – Diethelm Standard

Tonle Sap Lake is one of the most unique bodies of water in the world and has created a rich biodiversity along its shores while developing an interesting array of village communities. We’ll explore the countryside surrounding the lake by taking an ox-cart ride through a village and lush, green rice fields. At the end of the ride, we’ll stop to enjoy a fresh coconut drink with a local family as you’ll get to visit their traditional house and talk with them as you learn more about their lives. We’ll then head to the Tonle Sap Lake, one of the largest in Asia, where you’ll board a traditional wooden boat and ride to a floating village on the waters. Here, you’ll observe the traditional, everyday life of the locals in this unique lake community.
