tour details

With more than 30 temples, you’ll soon realise why Luang Prabang is known as ‘The Jewel of Laos’.

tour description

Start by visiting Wat Visoun, the site of the impressive That Makmo stupa. From here, walk to nearby Wat Aham, one of the city’s major tutelary shrines, dedicated to revered spirits and ancestors.
Next, climb Wat Phousi Hill for an outstanding view of the city before continuing to Vat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong temples. These temples are representative of classic Luang Prabang temple architecture with roofs that sweep low to the ground. In the compound you’ll see several small chapels that house numerous bronze Buddha images.

To conclude the journey, explore Ban Phanom weaving village, which is primarily populated by the Thai Lu people.
