Luang Prabang City Tour and Kuang Si Waterfalls

The first stop on this full day tour will be Ban Phong Van village. Here you'll visit the Living Land Rice Farm, a community enterprise that offers tours of its organic vegetable farm and rice fields. Experience the life of a farmer and you may even wish to try your hand at some of the activities! There is also a visit to the Hmong tribe village at Ban Na Ouang where you can learn more about the culture and tradition of these people before we make our way to the spectacular Kuang Si waterfalls. Tumbling over multi-tiered limestone formations, these colourful, cool and clear pools are ideal for swimming or just relaxing.

Nearby to the falls is an opportunity to visit the rescued bears of the "Bear Lao" project, the sanctuary provides a safe haven, shelter and rehabilitation for the bears, which have been rescued from bear bile farms and illegal private zoos. The bears are followed by a delicious and relaxing lunch near the waterfalls. Your afternoon will conclude with a wander through the fascinating Butterfly Park. Here you will be surrounded by many species of butterflies in a relaxing setting and where you are soothed by the sound of the waterfalls. You can also enjoy the natural fish spa and see if you can attract a butterfly to land on your hand! Visiting this park, ensures you have made a sustainable impact in the education of local children about biology and will help raise awareness about the vulnerability of Laos' ecosystem and how local people can preserve it.

On the way back to Luang Prabang, we travel to Ban Xangkhong to experience this Sa paper making and weaving village and watch these two traditional Lao craft techniques.
