It is estimated that 60% of Vietnam’s population engages in farming or is employed in the agricultural sector. Farm work in Vietnam is tough, requiring patience and persistence to work the land. In order to get a true insight into the hardships of farm life, you’ll spend some time helping local farmers with their daily tasks. Located on the edge of Hoi An Ancient town, the Tra Que vegetable village is known for its scented vegetables that add magical flavours to local dishes. Upon arrival, you’ll take a tour around the vegetable gardens before joining the farmers in preparing and fertilizing the land. Prepare to get your hands dirty as you go about a villager’s daily routine of raking, sowing, watering and picking greens. Your work will be rewarded with a delicious locally prepared meal!
