The countryside surrounding the city of Kep is full of beautiful scenery, traditional Khmer villages, and the seasonal rice paddies which form the heart of rural Cambodia. We’ll travel along coastal roads by Tuk Tuk or motorbike to the village of Chamcar Bei, home of the Hand in Hand Cambodia project. Here, you’ll visit students at the community school before making your way to the Women’s Handicraft and Development Association, where villages make traditional loom-woven kramas, coconut jewelry and products made from recycled plastic. We’ll also visit a local pepper farm, where you can buy the best black, white or red pepper from the region. Finally, we’ll visit the salt fields before making a stop at the vibrant and colorful, Keo Krosang Pagoda.

The countryside surrounding the city of Kep is full of beautiful scenery, traditional Khmer villages, and the seasonal rice paddies which form the heart of rural Cambodia.
Traveling along the coastal roads via tuk-tuk or motorbike, your Knai Bang Chatt guide will lead you to the village of Chamcar Bei, home to the Hand in Hand Cambodia project that has been supported by Knai Bang Chatt since 2006. Here you can visit with students at the community school and visit the Women's Handicraft and Development Association where villagers make traditional loom-woven kramas, coconut jewelry, and Funky Junk products made from recycled plastic. You can also visit a local pepper farm, where you can buy the best black, white or red pepper from the region, visit the salt fields, and make a stop at the vibrant and colorful Keo Krosang Pagoda.
