tour description
A full day tour that focuses on the different corners of Bangkok, with a mixture of iconic sites and lesser known spots explored.
Along with your guide, head by foot, skytrain or public riverboat to the nearest pier on the Chao Phraya River to board a private longtail boat to explore Bangkok's maze of canals, locally known as 'Klongs'. The first stop will be for a tasty lunch at Klong Baan Luang, a canalside artist's community of preserved wooden homes. After lunch we continue further into the 'Klongs' and re-enter the iconic Chao Phraya River, passing by the magnificent Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn.
Disembark close to the 17th century Wat Pho, famed for its stunning Reclining Buddha and renowned massage school. During the temple tour you will discover the fascinating history of the site and, if you want to, have the opportunity to experience a traditional Thai foot massage (not included in the price).
Afterwards, we head downriver by local boat for a short stroll through some of Chinatown's most characterful alleys. Then, we seek out a hidden rooftop bar to enjoy the magnificent views of the river. Sit back and relax with a refreshing drink (beer/soft drink) while watching the setting sun. Next up, jump into a tuk tuk to travel through Chinatown to Yaowarat Road, known for its neon lights and vibrant atmosphere. Sample one or two dishes of delicious Chinese delicacies, as your guide explains more about the area's cuisine and history. The tour finishes at around 20:30 hours with a well-deserved drink in a lovely open-air street side bar. This bar is an ideal spot to watch the bustle of Chinatown and to soak up the atmosphere before returning to your hotel.
