Visit the “must see” sites of Hue as you explore the fascinating history of this charming town.
Located in central Vietnam, Hue is the former capital of Vietnam’s last dynasty and enjoys an elegant setting on the banks of the Perfume River. Founded as a royal city in 1687, Hue is known for its citadels, palaces, royal tombs and pagodas. You’ll commence your tour with a boat trip on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s oldest religious structures. Next you’ll make your way to the Hue Citadel. Located on the banks of the Perfume River, the citadel was designed for the exclusive use of the emperor and his household and forms part of the broader royal complex, which has been officially recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You’ll conclude your tour with a visit to the Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Royal Tombs, considered to be two of Hue’s most beautiful mausoleums.
