Founded as a royal city in 1687, Hue is known for its citadels, palaces, royal tombs and pagodas. You’ll commence your tour with a boat trip on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s oldest religious structures. Next you’ll make your way to the Hue Citadel. Located on the banks of the Perfume River, the citadel was designed for the exclusive use of the emperor and his household and forms part of the broader royal complex, which has been officially recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
