Boat trip to the village of Mine Thauk on the eastern shore of Inle Lake. Explore the 5-day rotating market (if your visit coincides with the schedule). Walk to Mine Thauk Monastery and proceed to Bawlapet Village on top of the mountain (approximately two hours hiking up a steep slope). Walk through this very scenic village and take a break under a shady tree. Continue walking uphill for another 45 minutes to Bondle village, a Pa-o Village passing through sugar cane, corn, cheroot fields. From this village, take another 30 minutes easy walk to Lwe Khaw (Done Dwan) Pa-O village. In the afternoon, enjoy panoramic views over Inle Lake while returning downhill to the shore. Transfer by boat back to your hotel.

  • The tour includes about 6½ hours hiking. The first two hours are quite challenging as the path goes uphill steeply
  • the second part is an easy walk through villages, forests, vegetable and fruit plantations. This excursion is not recommended during the rainy season from June to October.
  • It is advisable to wear good walking shoes and carry a walking stick. Also, bring mosquito repellent and a small day bag to carry your drinking water.
