tour details

Start off sampling the local café culture in the heart of the old quarter, at a coffee shop overlooking the famous French colonial style St. Joseph’s Cathedral. You will then set off for a ride through the city’s iconic narrow streets and head toward the railway tracks where we can see how the locals live and work, just centimetres from the train tracks in tall narrow houses. Afterward, continue riding toward Ngoc Ha, an old village, where you will visit ancient pagodas, the traditional market street and see the wreckage of a B52 bomber, which was shot down during the 1972 US air raids over Ha Noi. Leaving Ngoc Ha, you will ride out of the city centre to the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent century-old structure spanning over the Red River. Your next ride will take you along the riverside passing the ancient dyke wall, beautifully decorated with mosaic artworks and on to a Kumquat Farm, located in a peaceful green agricultural oasis in the city. These little trees are traditional gifts at Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and adorn every family home, symbolising luck, health, wealth, fertility and peace. Have a snack stop before riding back to your hotel.
