    tour description

    Duration: 08.00 - 13.00hrs or 12.00 - 17.00hrs.

Bang Krachao is a vast area of green space also known as "the lungs of Bangkok", due to the unusual shape the forest takes if seen from a plane. Originally a settlement for ethnic Burmese Mons, Bang Krachao is made up of orchards and gardens, with only about 40,000 residents. A strict local planning code which prohibits things like high rise buildings and factories has kept the area in its pristine state.

Pick up from your city hotel and transfer to Phra Pradaeng sub-district in the outskirt district of Samut Prakarn without guide assistance. Your local English speaking guide will meet you at Wat Klong Toey Nok pier where you take a ferry boat to cross the mighty Chao Praya River to Bang Krachao pier. Select your bike and start cycling through the area where the Chao Phraya River snakes around like a horseshoe.

Along the bike path, which winds around the island, there are many viewpoints where you can stop and enjoy the scenery. There are also many shops and sites to check out, for example: The Siamese Fighting Fish Gallery, or the Herbal Incense Home where you can learn to make incense from the villagers. During the weekend, be sure to stop by at Bang Nam Phueng floating market. Return to Wat Klong Toey Nok pier and from there transfer back to your hotel without guide assistance.
