Cooking Class at Kuang Si Waterfall

Pick up at your hotel and transfer with local guide to Kuang Si waterfall (approximately 30 kilometres). On arrival, walk to the spectacular waterfalls. Kuang Si is the the largest and most breathtaking of Luang Prabang's waterfalls. Tad Kuang Si boasts and impressive three tiers of falls, culminating in a sensational 50 metre cascade, before spilling into a series of mineral-rich turquoise pools. Pathways lead through the forest alongside these pools towards a charming wooden bridge where the falls can be enjoyed in all their splendour.

On the way back from Kuang Si waterfall, you will arrive in small village where the organic farm of Ms. Vandara is located. A published Lao cookbook author: "Food and Travel Lao", French and English speaking, Ms Vandara will welcome you with her family for a very local experience. She will share with you her knowledge of local Lao ingredients and teach you how to cook healthy Lao food. Ms Vandara has an extensive organic garden filled with edible plants and traditional medicinal herbs. For this class ingredients will be selected from the garden. This is a special, intimate and beautiful environment to share a cooking class. Ask questions and watch and learn as lunch is prepared before your eyes. After the cooking is complete relax and enjoy your prepared lunch overlooking the nearby waterfall and, if you would like to, have a small swim with locals in the clear water of Kuang Si. This is a tranquil and wonderful place with a charming host! Then transfer back to the hotel in Luang Prabang.
