The cooking classes are intended for adults and children who would like to discover the secrets of the gastronomy in the Inle area. During this class, you will pick up traditional recipes and learn how to create local favourites from scratch and get a view of how they promote culture and traditions of the Inle area and support sustainable development.

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Inle Heritage House around 10:00 / 16:00 hours. (Section A starts at 10:00 hours and Section B at 16:00 hours)

Upon arrival, guests will receive welcome drink (Shan tea, fresh juices). The staffs will then show the guests the cooking area. Next the chef of the Inle Heritage House will present you the menu, give details about the class, ingredients and cooking methods. After this introduction, they will show you their vegetable gardens and pick the ingredients for the meal. Back to the kitchen, clean the vegetables and start cooking, with step-by-step demonstration of the chef. As soon as dessert is ready, you can sit down and enjoy the meal you just cooked yourself.

The Inthar Heritage restaurant is part of the Inle Heritage Foundation, which promotes the heritage of Inle cultures and support sustainable development of the Inle region. During the guided visit they will show you Vocational Training Centre (hospitality business education) and environment-friendly agriculture.
