Experience authentic local life and living, typical food, nature and traditions on this unique tour just at Yangon’s doorstep. Perfect escape from the city for families with children, photographers, elderly people or simply everyone who would enjoy the beauty of the island rather on a trishaw than on a bicycle. The tour will take 2 hours on trishaw and 1 hour walk through the villages.

Pick up from hotel and transfer to the starting point at the jetty. Boat ride to the Seikkyi Khanaungto river island across the Yangon river and Twante canal. Visit the most interesting spots on the beautiful, rural and (almost) car-free island by Trishaw, short walks in some of the most beautiful villages (easy) visit to teashops to taste some local specialities and drinks, as Let Pet Ye, Tealeaf salad, Mohingar, Nan Gyi Toute, Palathas ... (at your choice). Visit also include an old monastery and learn more about daily life in the monastery and the Buddhist way of life in general from the friendly head monk and your knowledgeable guide. You will see the monks going on their morning round through the villages, receiving food and donations from the local community, visit the big "Myo Ma" market where piles of exotic fruit, vegetables and groceries are being sold visit the wharfs where big river boats are being maintained and repaired, also a "ship graveyard" can be seen along the way enjoy the beautiful, tranquil scenery while being cycled through the rice fields and bamboo groves. See lots of different plants, birds (egrets, cranes, sometimes storks and eagles), water buffaloes and others. stop by at a small farm and learn more about the Myanmar-way of agriculture (planting and harvesting rice and other crops, herding cows, goats and buffaloes '85)
You can try to ride the Trishaw yourself on a quiet street. You might have a chance to see and participate whenever any festivals or weddings (Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Christian) are happening. Lots of interaction with the local people, kids, adults or grandmothers - Buddhists, Muslims or Hindus, you will be overwhelmed by all the friendly smiles and greetings you will receive along the way. Return to Yangon and transfer to your hotel.
