Depart from Danang to explore the Ancient Town of Hoi An and its surrounds. Hoi An was a major trading centre of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. You’ll discover that Hoi An has a unique mix of Chinese & Vietnamese cultures with low, tiled roof houses & narrow streets. The original structure of these streets is still largely intact. Many houses are made of rare timbers & decorated with panels engraved with Chinese characters as well as ornately carved pillars. Next, you’ll take a boat ride to a boat builder’s yard & woodcarvers. You’ll also visit a pottery and brick-making village. After returning to the town, join a tour on foot through the ancient heart of Hoi An. You’ll visit some of the historic merchant & community houses, places of worship & the famous Japanese covered bridge.
