tour description

On this full day tour discover a different side to Krabi. An excursion that provides a nice break from the sun, sea and sand as you will learn about local religion, arts and crafts and food.

We first discover the artisan village of Baan Natin. Under the local entrepreneurship program OTOP (One Tambon One Product), families of the village produce intricate batik products that gain Thailand wide recognition. After a brief tour and introduction by the locals, you will get a chance to try some batik art yourself. The village elders will also demonstrate how they create souvenirs and foods made from coconuts. Next you will be given a tour of the spice garden of Baan Natin to learn about the many different herbs and spices of southern Thailand that go into the local cuisine.

Stop for tasty Thai food for lunch at a local restaurant and then, in the early afternoon, visit Wat Keaw, a beautiful Buddhist temple nestled on a hill above downtown Krabi. Before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon, visit Krabi's Historical Wall, which was completed in 2013 and celebrates the region's immense historical importance. The wall features 28 panels lined up along Krabi City Hall's western fence on Chao Fah Road illustrating Krabi's history.
