Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre & Golden Silk Pheach by Jeep

08:00 hours Your Jeep will pick you up at your hotel and drive through and around the Angkor complex towards Banteay Samre, built in the early 12th century. This temple consists of a central temple with four wings preceded by a hall and accompanied by two libraries, the southern example remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble.

Finally, visit Golden Silk Farm: Founded in July 2002, Golden Silk Pheach Preservation Center is one of the rare remaining fully integrated silk producers in the world. Striving to restore and to safeguard the fabulous Khmer traditional methods and techniques of silk making, Golden Silk Pheach Farm spreads over more than 12 hectares of mulberry tree plantations and workshops, and employs over 100 women from the surrounding villages. They only produce fully hand-made fabrics, dyed with natural pigments and made out of a rare and almost disappearing indigenous yellow species of silkworm. Until you have experienced this tour you cannot imagine what an incredible, meticulous, precise and amazing process creating and weaving silk really is.
12:30 hours Before returning to the city, stop for lunch with a scenic view at Devatas, a Khmer restaurant located in a gorgeous setting, facing a pre-angkorian lake filled with lotus flowers.
