We’ll hop on a ferry and take a ride to Tha Chang Pier, home to Bangkok’s most extensive Buddhist amulet market. As we stroll through the market, we’ll enjoy Thai sweets and soft drinks. Then it’s off to bustling Chinatown where we can enjoy Dim Sum and other Chinese specialties. Our final destination is Sam Yan Market, affording an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat. Upstairsfrom the market, we’ll lunch in the open air food hall, a gourmet’s delight of Thai food stalls centred on a Thai-style steakhouse.

tour description

You will be met by your guide in your hotel lobby and together depart by taxi to Bangrak Market, originally a flower market offering blooms for all occasions at wholesale or retail prices. Beside the flowers, this trading area also serves as a wet market, with many foods available. Try some fruit and a traditional 'Khao Tom', a delicious rice soup, which Thais eat for breakfast.

At Saphan Thaksin Pier, board a public ferry and enjoy a 15-minute ferry ride to Tha Chang Pier. The area around the pier plays host to Bangkok's most extensive Buddhist amulet market. Also, right next to the market Thammasat University, one of Thailand's most prestigious universities is located. Enjoy Thai sweets and local soft drinks while visiting the market. Next, continue by public taxi to Chinatown and explore this bustling area full of shops, food stalls and Chinese vendors. Try some Chinese pork buns, Dim Sum and other Chinese specialties. Travel by tuk tuk to Hua Lamphong MRT station (subway) and make your way by MRT to Sam Yan Market. The ground level of the market is a fresh market, where you can find everything from vegetables to fruit and seafood to fresh meat. On the second floor, Sam Yan market is a food-lover's paradise. You can find various tasty choices - ranging from fresh Thai seafood, Thai-style steakhouse, and also make-to-order style Thai a la carte. Enjoy your lunch here before your guide takes you back to your hotel by public taxi.
