You will be picked-up from your hotel and taken Pea's home for a tour of the family garden and to learn how essential Thai herbs, such as lemongrass and holy basil, are grown. You will then be treated to miang kham (a local snack of fresh betel leaves with lime, coconut, and peanuts) before you join Pea in her kitchen. You will chop, pound and grind to make a Thai meal from scratch. Over a cold beer and wonderful company, you will share the Thai meal you helped prepare at Pea's kitchen table, which was designed to teach her sons how to cook. After the meal Pea will take you on a tour of her beautiful teak home, telling you stories of her family and showing you her family shrine.
Your meal will include dishes such as beef noodle soup, chicken green curry, pad kra prow (stir fried chicken with holy basil), naam prik (minced pork in a tomato sauce), steamed fish fillet with lime, rice noodles, jasmine rice followed by coconut ice cream or mango sticky rice (when in season) for dessert.
