A two-hour fun packed art class for adults & children, who will be taught by the talented Thalahena Lagoon fisherman’s artistic wives and daughters in the stunningly beautiful Villa Hundira Thalahena. An architecturally designed masterpiece created by Rolf Tibblin, a legend in the world of Motocross. The guests  will be given a welcome drink by the team overlooking the lagoon, and do a short briefing on the art class and given aprons so they don’t go home in a rainbow of paint. The class will take place in Thimbles open courtyard verandah studio where Thalahena lagoon seamstresses work seamlessly away daily to create stunning fabrics and creations that now adorn homes all over the world.

Indira who set up Thimble on the Lagoon about 15 years ago will give the guests a selection of things they can paint from the traditional island mask to putting your own motto on a wooden handmade three wheeler, the most popular way to travel short distances around the island. The guests will learn lots from Indira and the girls. A woman that has had a lifetime in design and through her love of the arts now provides amazingOpportunities for the creative Thalahena fishermen's wives and daughters in order to boost the family income and provide valuable educational opportunities for their kids. The children will feel the magic as they make their own artistic souvenir and afterwards enjoy a local lunch overlooking this stunning spot on the ancient lagoon. (10am -12 to learn how to paint and finish your own wooden tuk tuk, bag or wooden elephant, which they can take home with them afterwards as their own souvenir. This will be followed by lunch)
