With this day, you are promised to return richer culturally, spiritually and humanly.
For this “Go Local” experience, we are taking you to an authentic village, whose name translates into ‘Lady-bug’, and which consists of mostly farming families. It is located approximately 30min west of Siem Reap and has been under the care of an NGO who works directly with communities to help improve the lives of Cambodian families with a goal to focus around the basics of providing access to safe water, livelihood opportunities, health, education and environment.

A guide from the NGO will pick you up at your hotel at 08:00 hours and you will drive to the village you will be spending a good part of your day at.
When you arrive at the village, you will start with being blessed by the monks at the local pagoda.
Afterwards, hop on an ox-cart and ride through the village, even learn how to drive it!
You will then meet the host family who you will be working with today and take part in whatever seasonal activity is happening at the time. Activities on the tour may include planting rice, harvesting or transplanting rice depending on the time of year. Other activities include weaving thatch for roof repairs, weaving wall panels, planting vegetable crops, tree planting, making prahoc or rice wine.
Every tour is different, activities will depend on the time of year, family needs and goings on in the village.
You will meet another family which you will help to prepare a delicious Khmer lunch from fresh ingredients from the city.
After lunch take a short walk to see the rest of the village including the NGO's workshop.
