Experience the river life and visit villages off of the usual tourist trails adding to your trip. Board the traditional boutique boat RV Paukan from Bagan and enjoy sailing and the breath scenery along the mighty Ayeyarwady river towards Mandalay. On the way, explore the ancient town of Mingun, the famous pottery villages; Kyauk Myaung and Yandabo where you can observe the pottery making process of Myanmar.

Join-in tour with departures as schedule.

The embarkation time is at 12:00 hours (check-in at 1:30 hours). On board, enjoy lunch and cruise upstream all day until you will make a stop at Shwe Pyi Thar village for a walk. Moor overnight near the village.

Arrive Yandabo in the morning, a picturesque village that specializes in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Go ashore for a walk through the village stopping to some pot-making workshops to learn their unique production technique, the school and the monastery. Back to the ship and continue sailing upstream to Ava, capital of the Burmese Kingdom from 1364 to 1841. Lunch & Dinner on board.
Overnight on board.
After breakfast on arrival, you can take a horse cart ride to explore around the ruins and the impressive cultural heritage of Ava. Visit the beautiful 200-year-old teak Bagaya Kyaung Monastery, Nanmyin watchtower (27 metres high) and the Me Nu Ok Kyaung monastery. After that, back to the ship for lunch and proceed to sail upstream. Moor overnight nearby a river village North of Mandalay.
Dinner & Overnight on board.
This morning, visit the spectacular potteries-making village of Kyauk Myaung and observe the manufacturing stages of the famous 50 Gallons (200 Litres) pots (1 'bd hours visit). Take some time to explore the villages and have a little chit chat with the local community. Cruise back downstream to Mingun. In early evening, visit the unfinished pagoda, the largest working bell in the world and the "home for the aged". Dance and Theatre performance on the Sundeck (if available). Lunch & Dinner on board.
Overnight on board.
This morning, enjoy your breakfast before you disembark at Gawein Jetty between 08:30 and 09:00 hours for your onward journey.
