After passing through immigration, you’ll have lunch at a community restaurant before continuing by boat to the Ramsar wetland – the most beautiful part of the Mekong River. The next day you’ll visit Stung Treng and then commence a bicycle trip riding from ‘Wat to Wat’. Try local delicacies along the way including the famous ‘Nhem’ (pickled fish in banana leaf). Continue with visits to a local silk weaving center, sericulture farm, local village and temples, before dinner at the charity-run Tonle Tourism Training Centre. Other tour highlights include exploring Kratie’s colonial history, enjoying the magnificent views from Wat Phom Sambok, spotting the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins, discovering Koh Trong Island, exploring traditional Khmer villages by horse cart & tasting delicious Khmer cuisine!

Proceed through customs and immigration at Trapeang Kreal (D'f4ng Kralor) immigration check-point (Laos-Cambodia border).
Welcome by your guide on the Cambodian side and take a short drive to Voeun Khao. Embark on a small wooden boat to Anlung Cheuteal dolphin pool to spot the rare Irawaddy Dolphins.
Lunch at a community restaurant at the site.
After lunch continue your journey by boat to O'svay to see Ramsar wetland with the flooded Forest. This is the most beautiful part of the Mekong River. Drive from O'svay to Stung Treng Town.

Morning, visit Stung Treng, located just 50 km south of Laos, on the banks of the San River, just off the Mekong. It is a very quiet provincial city, showing us the authentic and remote "face" of Cambodia. Start cycling at Wat Thorm Raing Sey to begin a Wat to Wat journey. Cycle along the Mekong River, stop at Wat's and observe the people at the bustling market. One of the famous cuisines found at the market is Nhem (pickled fish in banana leaf). Continue East along the riverbank under the newly constructed Sekong Bridge and visit more Wat's on the way.
Arrive at the Mekong Blue Center and visit this local silk weaving center including the dyeing center, sericulture farm, and sericulture training center.
Enjoy a lunch at The Mekong Blue Caf'e9.
Visit the small village of Thala Barivat on the other Mekong River side, crossing the river by ferry. Visit the temples of Prasat Preah Srey and Pram Bei Lueng.
Dinner at a charity-run restaurant Tonle Tourism Training Centre.
Accommodation at Gold River Hotel (2-star, best available).

Early morning, departure by overland to Kratie. Arrive in Kratie, a small colonial-style town and transfer to the hotel.

Afternoon, visit Wat Phom Sambok to see the Buddhist monasteries and to enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside from the hilltop. Further north along picturesque countryside roads stop at the best riverside vantage point from which to view the rare freshwater Irrawady River Dolphins which can be best seen late afternoon. Drive back to Kratie and take a small ferry boat to the island of Koh Trong situated in the middle of the Mekong River opposite Kratie town.

A 9 km loop around the islands provides opportunities to take a horse cart through traditional Khmer villages, fruits orchards and rice fields while observing the daily rituals and routines of the traditional village life. Participate in environmental activity by planting a tree at the tree planting site and continue your trip to a house to taste local Khmer cuisine for lunch.
Take a ferry ride back to Kratie.
Start your visit by local bicycle at the busting Rokakandal Market and buy some Krolan, sticky rice mixed with coconut and beans and cooked in bamboo tubes, Kratie's renowned snack. Continue to the old Rokakandal temple, originally built in the late 18th century. Look for the traditional decorations on the wooden pillars inside, the old timber monks' residence opposite and a beautiful old stone carving on the river of the Wat. On the way back to Kratie town, see the domesticated Sambar Deer in the grounds of the French styled Governor's office on the riverfront. Along the banks of the mighty Mekong River you will see many small fishing boats plying their trade as well as a number of floating villages. As the sun begins to set you can join the locals and sit out near the river with a refreshing fruit shake whilst savoring the atmosphere.

Take a ferry ride to Kratie and depart by road to Kompong Cham. On the way to Kompong Cham stop at Chhup, a rubber plantation first established in the region by the French tire maker Michelin.
Lunch at local restaurant in Kompong Cham.
Visit Wat Nokhor with its ancient temple and modern style pagoda (12th century)and tour of Kampong Cham to view examples of colonial architecture. Make a stop in Skuon to taste
Cambodia's more exotic culinary delights, the deep-fried spider.
Continue to Phnom Penh.
