Upon arrival at Kawthaung Airport, you will be transferred in a 15-minute van ride to the jetty where you will embark on a luxury speed boat (join-in group).

Guests who arrive Kawthaung with earlier flight will have an opportunity to explore the little town or relax at Wa Ale welcome centre.

14:00 hours to transfer to the Wa Ale Resort (approximately 2 hours). This eco-friendly resort lies on 9,000-acre island, in the Lampi Marine National Park. The whole property is constructed from reclaimed materials and practices alternative sources of energy for power. The terrain is a scenic rocky coastline with beautiful white sand beaches with bays and inlets surrounded by lush evergreen and mangrove forests. The entrance to the resort is a protected mangrove forest, you will be guided to disembark onto a handmade rock pathway that leads to an idyllic short walk to the Main Pavilion.
On arrival, check-in to your room and start enjoying your leisure.

This morning, enjoy your breakfast at the main pavilion before you start enjoying the luxurious facilities and exotic activities provided by the resort. There will be abundant options like snorkelling and diving (with supplement) in the archipelago's captivating reefs and caves or kayaking and paddling board through Wa Ale's pristine river and mangrove forests. You might also want to trek along the jungle trails to witness the unspoilt scenery of flora, fauna and wildlife.
If you prefer a more relaxed stay, enjoy a walk or bike ride along one of the quiet white sand beaches or take a leisurely swim in the warm azure waters of the small coved bay. You can also spend your time sipping some delicious drinks at River Caf'e9 by a lovely river in an enchanting and comfortably secluded atmosphere.
Lunch and dinner will be provided at the main pavilion.

Visit the Moken villages of Lampi Marine National Park where you will have an insight of local fishing community and their simple yet interesting lifestyle. Lampi Marine National Park offers a diverse range of wildlife. You can observe the project of sea turtles hatching and the protected nesting area where the sea turtles lay their eggs year round.
This is another spectacular beach around a rock formation neighboring Turtle Beach, which is named 'Honey Moon Beach'. Just under one kilometer, this white sand beach has clear, calm waters that are yet another setting to relax, enjoy a picnic and explore. Relax in the quiet comfort of the spa after a day of activities.

This morning, you will leave Wa Ale Resort around 08:00 hours and transfer back to Kawthaung by a speed boat. Arrive Kawthaung and departure by flight to Yangon or take the ferry to Ranong jetty.

Boat Transfer Information:
  • All boat transfers will be join-in, departing at 14:00 hours from Kawthaung and 08:00 hours from Wa Ale Island Resort on Saturdays and Tuesday.
  • Private transfers outside of these dates will cost 250 USD per person and 170 per person for round trip.

    Important Note:
  • A private transfer means transfers OUTSIDE of Tuesday's and Saturday's and Wa Ale does not guarantee exclusivity of boat and the van for the pick-up/drop off from the airport. As the resort is so remote, the logistics are substantial in making sure vans/boats are all available and the ultimate experience for guests is achieved.

    It takes around 2-3 hours depending on the weather each direction.
    Important Note:
  • There may be times where the weather affects transfers from Kawthaung to the island. For guest safety they will privately transfer guests two hours North of Kawthaung to Aung Ba and arrange boat transfer to the island. (One hour by boat)

    Please note:
  • It is approximately 2-3 hours from the island to the Kawthaung Jetty.
  • It is approximately 15-20 minutes speed boat ride (JOIN IN) from the Kawthaung Jetty to Ranong Jetty or v.v. (And then please allows time for passport control on both Myanmar and Thailand side)
  • It is approximately 30 minutes from the Ranong Jetty to the Ranong Airport.
