Combine golf at some of Myanmar’s best courses with sightseeing at Yangon’s finest sites. Your journey begins with visits to Botathaung and Chauk Htat Gyi Pagodas. The next day, you’ll play Pun Hlaing Golf course, the finest in all of Myanmar. After a morning of golf, it’s time for sightseeing in the colonial district, Chinatown, and the Indian Quarter. You’ll also visit the mighty Sule Pagoda and ride the Central Line. On Day 3, you’ll enjoy 18 holes at the challenging Yangon Golf Club before returning to the city to tour markets and art galleries, and enjoy delicious meals. On the final day, you’ll tee off at the Royal Mingalardon Golf and Country Club, with an international standard 18 holes. After your round, you’ll have a car at your disposal for some final sightseeing.

Arrival at Yangon Airport in the morning. Start your morning tour with a walk along Yangon's busy harbour where goods are loaded. Visit Botathaung Pagoda, close to Yangon River and said to contain Buddha relics. Lunch at Padonmar Restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to see a huge reclining Buddha image. Stop alongside Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake to take photographs over the lake towards Shwedagon. Enjoy the sunset at the Shwedagon Pagoda, famous worldwide! Its golden stupa is the 'heart' for all Buddhists in Myanmar. The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. Firstly drive to the Eastern entrance of the Shwedagon pagoda and walk along the small shops where monk accessories, Buddha statues, flowers etc. are sold. The entrance is always very busy with sellers and local pilgrims. You'll learn about the daily life of the local people who reside in the immediate surroundings and gain a deeper insight into the Buddhist religion as you provide offerings to the monks. Then, walk up the staircase where many vendors sell artefacts for peoples own shrine at home. Continue to walk along the pagoda platform clockwise, as is tradition, around the main Pagoda. During this interactive walking tour of the pagoda, explore walkways and hidden gems that are unknown to most visitors. Stopping in one of the pavilions to prayer, you might get a chance to meet a Buddhist monk and talk about Buddhism and meditation or simply contemplate. Continue through the back door of Shwedagon Pagoda and discover its fascinating history. It is always full of people praying and making offerings, and is a fascinating place to spend time watching the world go by.

This morning, transfer to Pun Hlaing Golf course (closed on Mondays), one of Asia's best golf course. Finest golf course in Myanmar designed by Gary Player, established in 2000. This course operates superbly maintained 18 hole and its greens are the best in Myanmar. Enjoy golfing and return to Yangon for afternoon sightseeing. Lunch at Taing Yin Thar Restaurant.
In the afternoon, You then drive through the colonial-historical district, Chinatown, and the Indian quarter. Make a photo stop at the gilded Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years, and a landmark in central Yangon. Explore the lively streets where uncountable street vendors and tea shops fill the pavements, and pass by imposing colonial buildings constructed in the early years of the 20th century. From Yangon's Central Station take a 30-45 minute train ride on the Circle Line. Opened in 1961, the train carries an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 people a day around the city. This is life the way the locals live it, and it's a great way to participate very naturally. Return to hotel.

TThis morning, transfer to Yangon Golf Club. Established in 1909, simply one of the best not only because of its attractive lay out amidst the trees and rolling hills but also its glorious historical background. This challenging 18 hole is a regular host for the Asian PGA tour. Enjoy golfing and return to Yangon for afternoon sightseeing. Lunch at Shan Yoe Yar Restaurant.
Visit the Bogyoke (Scott) Market (closed on Mondays and Public Holidays) to see Myanmar's wide range of handicrafts and souvenirs. Afterwards, drive to a selection of art galleries and antique shops. There is a surprisingly high number of very talented painters and artists in Myanmar, some of whom are known internationally, and this is an opportunity to get to know their work. Return to hotel.

Established since 1995 and renovated in 2012 to scenic 18 holes international standard golf course extends over 2000 acres, featuring terraces, lakes, ponds, rapids and waterfalls which combine to create a golfers paradise that offers you new possibilities.
Enjoy golfing and afterwards, your car and the Diethelm Travel guide are at your disposal allowing you to pursue individual interests until you transfer to the airport for your international departure flight.
