Combining culture and adventure, with a balance of education and entertainment, you’ll enjoy an incredible family tour in the great travel destination of Siem Reap. Over the course of four days, you’ll explore famous temples, such as Ta Prohm, a spectacular temple hidden in the jungle. You’ll take a ride on the back of an elephant, and enjoy a hot-air balloon ride over the stunning Angkor Wat, before exploring it on land. You’ll have the chance to observe traditional village life, interacting with locals. You’ll ride an ox-cart through the countryside, drink coconut water with locals and take a boat on the Tonle Sap lake. Buying your own ingredients at a local market, you’ll learn how to prepare a Khmer dish. We’ll also see a traditional Khmer dance show and the Cambodian circus, PHARE.

Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to the hotel (rooms may not be ready until the afternoon).
This morning, start your temple visits in a tuk tuk at the South Gate with its huge Statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the ancient capital of Angkor Thom.
Take an elephant ride from Angkor Thom's South Gate to Bayon temple, passing between gods and demons enter the walled and royal city of Angkor Thom watched by monkeys. Visit Bayon temple unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Lunch at hotel.
In the afternoon depart by Quad Bike to discover isolated villages. Take a discovery tour which takes approximately 2,5 hours (41km) to the beautiful country side, meet the welcoming habitants, visit a school and play games with the kids.
(This tour is suitable for all levels, including beginners but you need to have experience in driving a car or a motorbike. We recommend wearing long trousers and solid shoes - Children are welcome to seat with their parents as passengers.
From 14 to 16 years old, children can ride their own quad only with an instructor as a pillow. 17 years old children can be allowed to ride alone their own quad only if they have an adult size and a similar or bigger quad at home)

Continue your family adventure with a trip in a tuk tuk to a tethered balloon which will take you 120m up in the air to view Angkor Wat. Continue to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Your children can explore the endless corridors and hidden passageways. Continue to Ta Prohm, one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery and your kids will love to climb up and down the stairs and play hide and seek behind the trees covering this temple.

After a fun-filled morning, the afternoon is free to relax by the swimming pool at your hotel or take an optional excursion such as horseback riding.
Before or after dinner: Visit Phare, The Cambodian Circus' daily 1hour Show. Enjoy an amazing blend of traditional and modern theatre, music, dance, acrobatics, juggling and contortion, comedy and more, a beautifully choreographed and performed story about Cambodian lives and society. Go back with a memory filled with energy and emotions portrayed by the famous artists of Phare Ponleu Selpak Artistic and Social Center. PPS Association is a Cambodian non-profit, non-governmental association founded in 1994 by eight young Cambodians ex-refugees artists. Be part of non-profit organization efforts to build artists' careers and to bring Cambodian arts to the rest of the world.

After breakfast enjoy a unique Ox-Cart Ride in the beautiful country side for a glimpse of traditional village life and drink a coconut with the local families. Visit a floating village, take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia.

This afternoon is free for your family to explore the town and do some shopping or choose to relax by the swimming pool at your hotel.
Dinner with Apsara Dance Show at local restaurant (show duration 1 hour).

This morning your family will learn how to prepare three traditional Khmer dishes in a four-hour cooking class. The course will start with a visit to the local "Old Market" of Siem Reap accompanied by the Chef who will explain about local products. The Chef will present a cooking demonstration of the dishes that will be prepared and afterwards you can cook yourself. You will receive a booklet with the recipes of the day to make it easy to cook the dishes again at home. During lunch time you can taste and enjoy your own culinary creation.
You can opt to see more temples and drive to the typical Khmer countryside and visit Banteay Srei temple, regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer Art. Stop at a local village to visit the families who are producing palm sugar. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to restoration using the method of "anastylosis". The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple.

Free at leisure until transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.

Ideally a tour to the Tonle Sap Lake is only done during the high-water-level months of July to possibly mid of February. When the water is low boats may get stuck and also the distances to the floating villages increase.
