Exploring life along Cambodia’s rivers is a unique experience, with its pleasing scenery of pretty villages and lush rice paddies. We’ll travel across Tonle Sap Lake to a floating village where you’ll enjoy a luch of fresh fish caught by villagers. We’ll then head out by paddle boat to explore community activities such as crocodile farming, spirit houses and floating schools. After an evening at a home stay in the village, you’ll enjoy a morning of bird watching after sunrise. We’ll then travel past unspoiled landscapes along Sangker River to Battambang. Here, you’ll discover beautiful colonial architecture, visit a Khmer ancient house and take a ride on the unique Bamboo Train. Finally, we’ll Drive to Phnom Banon, and enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding plains until sunset.

Drive to a fishing village at Tonle Sap Lake near Siem Reap, board a private boat and travel for 1 to 1.5 hours across the lake and its flooded forest. On the way, the Osmose guide will explain you about the ecosystem and habitats of the local flora and fauna.
Arrive in the floating village and have a typical fresh fish lunch cooked by villagers.
Visit the floating village on a paddle boat tour organized by the community.
Discover different aspects of the village activities: crocodile farming, fish raising, fishing operation preparation, traditional medicine, boat shops, spirit houses, floating schools, etc.
Break at the home stay to enjoy daily life in a floating village. Watch sunset on the lake and have dinner cooked by villagers.

Travel by boat towards Battambang and stop at Cheur Khmao Pagoda "Black Wood Pagoda". Enjoy the unspoiled landscapes and traditional daily-life scenes along Sangker river.

Arrive at Battambang port and transfer to hotel for check-in. Walk through the town to discover its beautiful colonial architecture.

Drive along the picturesque Sangker River to Wat Slaket Pagoda, the residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch. Visit a Khmer Ancient House and make a stop to see the production of rice paper used for making spring rolls. Continue to visit Wat Ek Phnom. Visit a market where Prahoc, the Cambodian fish paste, is made.

Enjoy Battambang's truly unique form of local transportation and take a ride on the Bamboo Train through the picturesque countryside.
Drive to Phnom Banon, with its five sandstone towers on top of a hill and enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding plains until sunset.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel.

Visit Phare Ponleu Selpak, this centre supports around 30 orphans and trafficking victims and is schooling more than 1,200 pupils, over 400 of who study visual arts, music, circus, drama and dance for leisure or vocational training.
Depart for a scenic drive from Battambang to Phnom Penh (290 km, 4-5 hours drive). Along the way, visit the stone carving in Pursat.

Continue to the pottery village in Kompong Chhnang, see the pottery manufactories, visit a fish market and stop also at the silversmith village.
Arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel or Phnom Penh International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.

Ideally a tour to the Tonle Sap Lake is only done during the high-water-level months of July to possibly mid of February. When the water is low boats may get stuck and also the distances to the floating villages increase.
