Developed with the eco-conscious traveler in mind, The Float House River Kwai Resort is built from local materials – with thickly-layered thatched roofs – and staffed mainly by the local community of Mon – an ethnic minority who have migrated across the border from Myanmar.

12 elegant boutique-floating villas (total 90 sqm/villa) are tastefully decorated in Thai folk style design with teakwood furniture enhancing the comfort and harmony with nature. Each floating villa features a private terrace and pier where you can relax and enjoy by the beautiful ambience. Amenities include minibar, LCD-TV, DVD player, free wi-fi, air-conditioning, rain shower with hot & cold water, safety box, coffee/tea making facility and a private terrace with sunbeds.

Early morning, pick up participants from various Bangkok hotels to Kanchanaburi. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Center, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. Visit the War Cemetery, the final resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war and continue to the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai. Take a long-tailed boat on the Kwai River, passing unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery to the resort and check in.

After lunch, take another boat ride to visit to the nearby ethnic Mon Village, then return to the resort for dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance.
