Your three-day journey will take you through Myanmar’s treasure land, where you’ll witness local craftsmen at work and enjoy cultural exchanges with hill tribes. Start in Mogok, where 90% of the population takes part in a thriving gem business. The market, Htar Pwe, beckons with the allure that only precious stones can give. A stunning sunset from Daw Nan Kyi Hill ends the day. The next morning, you’ll explore the Aungchanthar market, visiting open pit mines, tunnel mines, and square mines. Another local gem market experience is followed by a lapidary workshop and a visit to a gold smith. Then, the Chanthagyi stupa and the Phaung daw Oo pagoda will amaze you with their beauty. A painting workshop and picturesque sunset bring the day to a close. The adventure ends in bustling Mandalay.

Morning depart for Mogok via Maddaya and Thabeikkyin (128 miles or 205 km - approx. 7 hour) passing through farmlands, and then ascending by twisting and turning roads with rural landscapes. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
Mogok is a treasure land of Myanmar" located 200 km northeast of Mandalay, situated 1170 m above sea level. The climate at Mogok is cool in all weather. The population of the town is approximately 200,000 and comprise of ethnic minority such as Shan, Palaung, Kachin, Nepali, Lisu, Danu and Myanmar. About 90% of the population engages in gem business such as Mining, processing and trading. The gem market, locally called "Htar Pwe" is the main interest place where precious gems touching hands to hands of the local traders every day. Arrive Mogok and check in to Golden Butterfly hotel. Afterwards, watch the sunset view from Daw Nan Kyi hill, the panoramic view of surrounding area.

Full day visit to colorful Aungchanthar market with ethnic hill tribes around Mogok. Continue visit open pit mines, tunnel type mines and traditional four feet square mines. Observe twice daily gem market at Yokeshin Yone and Panchan. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
In the afternoon visit lapidary workshop, gold smith and gem souvenir shops. Then visit the Chanthagyi stupa for a panoramic view, Phaung daw Oo pagoda and gem painting workshop. Afterwards, enjoy sunset from View point.
Accommodation at King Bridge Hotel (Superior Room) or similar, Mogok.
After breakfast and return to Mandalay. Arrive in Mandalay in the late afternoon. Lunch at local restaurant.
