On our own private tour, head out of Bangkok via a scenic river cruise and the transfer to Khao Yai, Thailand’s first National Park. Here stay in very comfortable accommodation and along with your guide be escorted by a knowledgeable park ranger to explore the stunning nature, whilst looking out for rare birds, wild elephants and more. A highlight is undoubtedly reaching the ranger base camp where the views are unforgettable. Guests also witness the amazing site of thousands of bats flying out of a cave at dusk, and enjoy a home cooked dinner in a local homestay. On the way back to Bangkok visit the former ancient capital of Ayutthaya to visit the ruins and Ayutthaya Tourism Centre.

The cruise departs from the pier with tea and coffee served when guests board.

Cruising up-stream on the Chao Phraya River we pass by (but do not visit):
- Wat Arun; aka the Temple of the Dawn, one of the city's most important religious sites. Before being moved to Wat Phra Kaew, the Emerald Buddha was temporarily housed here. The five-towered structure is covered in colourful porcelain and designed as a representation of the Khmer home of the gods.
- Royal Grand Palace; famous the world over for its great fine art and traditional architecture, with gold and red contrasting colours of the buildings clearly visible from the cruise.

We then cruise out of urban Bangkok, viewing fascinating local life on the banks of the river as we head into a more rural setting.

10:45 hours
An early lunch will be served in the comfortable surroundings of the cruise boat. A full menu of Thai and Western dishes, desserts, seasonal fruits, coffee and tea are offered.

11:45 hours
Arrive at Wat Chong Lom in Nonthaburi Province.

Continue to Khao Yai and on the way visit Klang Dong Fruit Market. The fruit stall owners are mostly local farmers and visitors can buy some tasty seasonal fruits. Afterwards continue direct to Khao Yai.

After check-in your guide will take you to a local cave to see the extraordinary sight of thousands of wrinkle lipped bats flying out of cave in search for food at sunset.

Khao Yai National Park spans over four provinces; Sara Buri, Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachin Buri, and Nakhon Nayok. Khao Yai is the first national park in Thailand, comprising of mixed forest, rainforest, and meadows all of which are 400 - 1,000 meters above sea level. There are more than 3,000 kinds of flowers, 250 kinds of birds, and 67 kinds of mammals like elephants, tigers, gibbons, deer, and boars up there.

At 08:00 am, after breakfast, pick up from hotel and transfer to visit Khao Yai National Park, visit Waterfall before transfer to the meeting point. You will enjoy about 2 hrs trek through the forest which escort by Ranger, it is just an opportunity to explore the ecology of the rainforest, to see a great variety of exotic plants, tropical hardwood trees with huge roots (200 years or more), ferns and mosses along the route; Also lookout for gibbons family that inhabit this area and sometimes hornbill can be seen flying high overhead.

We will arrive at the Ranger base camp around noon, seasonal fruit and drinking water or hot tea will be served, followed by lunch (prepared by the field staff & Ranger at the base camp).

After refreshment, Relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding jungle covered mountains around the base camp and walk to explore the grassland and you can help making a salt lick for wild animals at the salt licks pond nearby the Ranger camp, if lucky day Elephants are sometimes spotted at salt-licks pond in late afternoon.

We will leave from the Ranger base camp in late afternoon and walk back to the starting point (around 1 hrs), then, transfer back to your hotel, drop off at hotel before 17:00 pm, relaxing rest of day at hotel swimming pool.

18:00 hours
At around 18:00pm we leaving the resort for dinner at Chai Homestay. The homestay is situated just outside of the National Park and here your host will first show you his garden where he grows his fruit and vegetable. Then after you will have the chance to help in the kitchen before sitting down for a tasty local Thai meal (some of which you may have cooked yourself!). Later that evening return to the hotel.

After breakfast check-out and depart to Ayutthaya.

Along with your guide first visit the Ayutthaya Tourism Centre where you will learn about Ayutthaya's fascinating history from ancient times to the present-day. Then continue to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - the prototype of the famous Grand Palace in Bangkok, Next visit Wat Mahathat - to have a look at the famous Buddha Head in the banyan tree.

Enjoy lunch at local restaurant before heading to Bangkok and drop off at your hotel (approximate 90-minute journey).
