tour details

The province of Siem Reap is a study in contrasts from its ancient temples to its developed capital. We’ll start by exploring Prasat Kravan and its unique brick sculptures before heading to Preah Khan temple. In the afternoon, we’ll stop at a local village where palm sugar is produced and visit one of the most complete complexes at Angkor, Banteay Samre. The next day, we’ll head to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom and the Bayon temple, with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. You’ll also explore Angkor Wat, a masterpiece of art and architecture, before a dinner and dance show at a local restaurant. On the last day, we’ll visit a floating village and ride a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake. We’ll also see some of the traditional handmade products and shops in the area.

Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to Navutu Dreams Resort & Spa (rooms may not be ready until the afternoon).
Enjoy welcome drink upon arrival and a fresh tropical platter in your room. Whenever you are ready, schedule "anti-jet lag massage - one hour long deep tissue massage, concentrating on specific nerve endings to unwind muscles which have become stressed from long haul flights as well as to release tension in these areas and in major joints. Thereby, re-energizing the body. This is a non-oil based massage following the principles of acupressure.

Spend rest of the day at leisure enjoying the resort's gardens, one of three swimming pools or relaxing in the comforts of your room. In the evening experience Qui Gong - an ancient Chinese system of exercising and meditation that makes the mind and spirit calm, improves well-being, cultivates health and long-life. Afterwards indulge yourself in a 3-Course Wellness Dinner.

08h00: pick up at your hotel to visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, Bayon temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), Baphuon (recently re-opened after years of restoration), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Lunch not included
Visit Ta Prohm, a beautiful jungle temple that has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.
Visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond.

In case of schedule changes or flight cancellations we always try everything possible to arrange an alternate programme within the framework of the original quoted costs. However, we reserve the right to charge any cost exceeding the original budget to the tour operator/ travel agent or to the participant of a tour after consultation with the agent.
  • Programmes, prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of proposal submission and are subject to change thereafter without advance notice until all services have been paid in full.
  • We strongly advise to leave valuable items (money, passport, credit cards, jewelleries, sensitive documents, laptop computer, etc.) in the hotel safe. During excursions and roundtrips, personal belongings, especially money and valuables should NEVER be left on vehicles, even during short breaks, and carried around at all times. Diethelm Travel Cambodia is not responsible for any loss or theft.
  • Cambodia being a developing country is in full process of upgrading its infrastructure. Therefore, driving overland can be cumbersome due to ongoing road constructions.
