Take a ferry from Mandalay towards Bagan with a stop at Yandabo village, a well-known place for making pots from the riverbank clay. Yandabo Home located in this village is a charming hotel with 12 rooms tastefully decorated with luxury amenities. A place to escape from the bustling city life and relax at this tranquil little village where no cars or internet access is available. Walking in the village, observe how people make the pots and you can also try to make your own pots. Visit to Pan Nyo village across the river, observe the crowds of buffalos bathing, pigs, cows, dogs and smiling kids greeting you with joy. Experience the real local life and take a beautiful memories back home.

Early morning transfer to the banks of the Ayeyarwady River to catch the ferry boat to Bagan. The River is difficult to navigate because of constantly moving sandbanks and, particularly between December and March, the ferry may move very slowly. The scenery along the Ayeyarwady is timeless - oxen working the fields, water buffalo wallowing in the mud, golden pagoda spires, fishermen, villagers bathing in the river and, of course, every type of boat and river craft that you can imagine.
You should arrive in Yandabo Village around midday, a village on the bank of Ayeyarwady River between Bagan and Mandalay. It is historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Royal Burmese House-hold of Ava. It is also a well-known place for making pots from the riverbank clay.

In the afternoon, Proceed to Pan Nyo village, along the riverbank of Ayeyarwady River is worthwhile visiting to observe the daily life style of local people, where about 4,000 water buffalos are used to cultivate the land. They cultivate rice, plant seasonal vegetables and fruits, etc. You reach this village by taking a small boat to cross the big river. Return to Yandabo home. Dinner and overnight at Yandabo Home.
This morning, enjoy a leisurely walk through the picturesque Yandabo village, where almost every person in the village is somehow involved in producing water pots. Learn about this profession and if you like you can even try to mould your own pot. Visit the local school, chat up with people while sipping a cup of tea in one of the local homes.
Return to hotel, freshen and enjoy the peaceful place on the banks of this magic river while waiting for the ferry to Bagan. Lunch at hotel or packed lunch.
The ferry will arrive Yandabo before midday. Leisurely sailing downriver to Bagan where you will arrive by early evening. Arrive Bagan in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel.
